Starting from the bustling streets of the pink city of Yerevan, this journey will take you to Khor Virap at the foot of the legendary Mount Ararat and to the enchanting Tatev Monastery, reached by the world’s longest non-stop cable car – a journey where time seems to stand still.
In this hidden gem of the Caucasus, you’ll feel the cool breezes of Lake Sevan, be transported to ancient times at the Garni Temple, and experience the mystical atmosphere of the Middle Ages at the Geghard Monastery. Get ready to discover Armenia’s cultural, historical, and gastronomic riches in detail, accompanied by Marsis Tourism’s comfortable vehicles and professional guides.
Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan and Discovery of the Pink City: Arrival in Yerevan and hotel check-in. A tour of Republic Square, the heart of the city; the magnificent Opera House; and the Cascade Open-Air Museum, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the city.
Day 2: From Antiquity to the Middle Ages: Departure from Yerevan. A visit to Garni Temple, the only surviving Hellenistic temple in the Caucasus. Following this, a tour of the mystical Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site carved into the cliffs.
Day 3: In the Shadow of Ararat and the Vineyards of Areni: Early morning departure for the historic Khor Virap Monastery, where Mount Ararat is seen most clearly. Afterwards, a visit to Noravank Monastery, hidden among red rocks, and a wine tasting in the famous Areni region on the return journey.
Day 4: The Pearl of the South and a Journey in the Sky: A long and scenic journey south to the Vorotan Valley. A ride on the “Wings of Tatev,” the world’s longest non-stop reversible cable car, to explore the majestic Tatev Monastery perched on the edge of a cliff.
Day 5: Sevan, the Blue Eye of the Caucasus, and Dilijan: Departure for high-altitude Lake Sevan, the largest freshwater lake in the Caucasus. A visit to Sevanavank Monastery. Afterwards, a nature walk in the town of Dilijan, known as the “Switzerland of Armenia” for its lush green nature.
Day 6: Last Moments in Yerevan and Return: Following breakfast at the hotel, free time for local souvenir shopping at the Vernissage open-air market. Gathering at the time designated by our guide and transfer for the return journey.

- Quota: Tours generally require a minimum participation of 20–25 people. If the minimum number is not reached, the tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour by providing notice 2–3 days in advance.
- Weather Conditions: The guide reserves the right to modify the sequence of the program due to weather, road conditions, or force majeure, provided that all scheduled locations are still visited.
- Accommodation: In triple rooms, the third bed is typically provided as a fold-out or rollaway extra bed.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made up to 30 days before the departure date usually qualify for a full refund; however, specific deductions may apply for cancellations made within the final week.
