Cappadocia and Ihlara Valley Tour

We embark on a unique journey to the enchanting Cappadocia, where millions of years of wind and lava have sculpted like a master sculptor, and the sky is adorned with colorful hot air balloons every morning. On this special tour, prepared with the assurance of Marsis Tourism, you will not only get lost among the famous fairy chimneys; you will descend into the mysterious corridors of the underground cities and enjoy an unforgettable walk in the peaceful atmosphere of the Ihlara Valley, a lush oasis in the heart of nature.

While tracing the footsteps of history at the Göreme Open Air Museum, you will experience pottery making from the clay of the Kızılırmak River in Avanos, and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of this fairytale land from Uçhisar Castle. With hot air balloons taking off at sunrise, the thrill of ATV safaris, and authentic Turkish nights held in rock-carved venues, every moment of this trip will be full of excitement; you will experience Cappadocia to the fullest with Marsis Tourism’s own comfortable vehicles and expert guides.

Day 1: Mysterious Underground City and Ihlara Valley: Departure via Marsis Turizm luxury vehicles with breaks along the route (such as Lake Tuz) before arriving in the region. Our first stop is the massive Derinkuyu (or Kaymaklı) Underground City, where thousands of people once lived simultaneously. After exploring underground life, we transition to the Ihlara Valley, a natural wonder hidden among steep cliffs and brought to life by the Melendiz Stream. Following a pleasant walk through the valley to see the rock-cut churches, we take a break by the river in Belisırma Village. Check-in at our hotel in Cappadocia in the evening.

Day 2: Fairy Chimneys, Pottery, and Valleys: For guests wishing to wake up early, an optional Hot Air Balloon Watching or Balloon Flight activity at sunrise. Following breakfast at the hotel, a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Göreme Open-Air Museum (rock churches and frescoes). Continuing with tours of Paşabağı (Monks Valley), where fairy chimneys are most dense, and Devrent (Imagination) Valley. Transitioning to Avanos to watch a demonstration at traditional pottery workshops using clay from the Red River (Kızılırmak), followed by a shopping break. After visiting Uçhisar Castle (panoramic) and Pigeon Valley, return to the hotel.

Day 3: The Three Graces, Onyx Stone, and Farewell: After breakfast at the hotel, a photo break at the Three Graces (Üç Güzeller), the most famous example of capped fairy chimneys and the symbol of Cappadocia. Learning about the journey of the famous Onyx stone at local workshops, followed by free time. After visiting the Asmalı Konak (Mustafapaşa or Ürgüp), we complete our local shopping for roasted nuts and pumpkin seeds before beginning our return journey with the comfort of Marsis Turizm.
